We Want to Talk is a workshop/discussion that brings together students and practicing professionals to create a dialogue about non-profit organizations, projects, and design firms that are rooted in design for good.

Through this discussion participants will learn what they can do to contribute to social justice organizations using the skills that they have as a designer. This workshop also aims to create long-lasting relationships between designers and socially conscious design thinking/practices.

REACTIONS

"The experience was great. I loved how casual and open the discussion was."
"I've been chewing on the idea that "we're the ones who make the Machine look pretty, to enable it to keep being the Machine." What an interesting, compelling idea."
"Don't be afraid! Get involved! The best thing I ever did was just ask how to get more involved with my local AIGA group and it opened up so many doors to my community. I met more people, learned more about my community, and saw how I could better help and be a part of it."
"I didn't go to school for design, but from my perspective and from what I heard, it seems like these kinds of discussions are new, and yet so needed."

Success! Message received.
